Office 365 has a backup, right?

Office 365 is excellent for retention, but retention isn’t the same as backup.  A true backup will be air-gapped from the source data and subject to tighter controls to ensure the date is immutable and recoverable for a longer period.  For example, if you delete a file from SharePoint but don’t notice for a few weeks, you might be out of luck as the file is purged from the Recycle Bin.  With a true backup, this data could be subject to a longer retention period of 12/24/36 months for example.

What if we already have an internal IT department?

No problem!  We can offer holiday/overflow cover or just specific second-line/application support.  Our specializations mean we look after certain applications for some surprisingly large household names you would have heard of.

What should I do before I log a ticket?

Where possible, take screen shots or notes about your issue; the Steps Recorder app built into Windows is excellent for this.  Next, attempt to recreate the issue to see if it’s repeatable or if it was just a one-off.  Though it’s often seen as a cliché, restarting the computer can possibly resolve the problem but on Windows ensure to use the Restart option instead of Shut down.
